Recipe

Maltese Baguettes

Total time: 90 mins

Ingredients

450-500g plain flour
2.5 tsp active yeast
3/4 tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
Lamb Brand garlic granules
300ml warm water
4 tbsp oil
parmesan cheese/grana Padano
Lamb brand parsley
1/2 tsp sea salt

Method

First in a bowl mix flour (start with 420g), yeast, sugar, salt and garlic.
Mix in water (slowly) and 2 tbsp oil. Stir until combined. If it’s runny, add in the rest of the flour.
Cover leave to rise for around 30 min.
Pre-heat oven at 190 degrees. Place baking paper on a tin & spread the dough open with your hands.
Now using your fingers form large dimples in the top of the bread. Now you can sprinkle some oil, the cheese, salt and parsley on top of the bread.
Bake 25-30 minutes, until the bread turns golden brown.
